“I couldn’t have gotten through it without him”
I cannot put into words how grateful I am for the care and kindness that Stuart gave me during one of the most difficult times of my life. I couldn’t have gotten through it without him. I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family if they needed therapy or even just a friendly face to talk to

“you are a life saver”
I was invited to attend tranquil recovery for my therapy. I wasn’t in a great place after 2 years struggling with my mental health. Stuart introduced himself and made me feel at ease from the start.
His knowledge and expertise was obvious, and within a few weeks I was responding to his techniques.
It’s exhausting but rewarding. He’s helped me put my life and marriage back together and I would highly recommend you seek him out.
Thank you Stuart, you are a life saver.

"Stuart is lovely and always made me feel safe, respected and supported"
I have had the pleasure being a client of Tranquil Recovery, for EMDR Therapy, and have only got positive things to say about Stuart and his way of working. Stuart is lovely and always made me feel safe, respected and supported to open up about some very difficult experiences. My first experience with EMDR was many years ago after being in a road traffic accident and developing travel anxiety, I’m not typically and anxious person and EMDR worked a treat for this particular problem. However, I was a little sceptical if it could help me for my other issues which had piled up since childhood and felt like one trauma after the next. Some of my traumas were big, others not so much but the sheer volume of them felt like a massive weight I was carrying around and my resilience had completely vanished. Little problems felt huge, my reactions were exaggerated and a combination of ADHD burnout and peri-menopause meant that I was left unable to work, and daily functioning was extremely difficult. Stuart agreed to help me and was encouraging from the start, we began processing the smaller trauma’s first, it’s crazy how the brain works and I’m so glad we spent the time working on my safe space first as this really helped me to tone down the emotional dysregulation that I was feeling between sessions and was a great foundation to begin with.
I never felt judged by Stuart or alone with any of my traumas, he had such a respectful tone and way about him that made me feel safe from the very beginning. Stuart was always very professional, yet flexible enough when life sometimes got in the way. I always looked forward to our sessions as I knew that however difficult my past trauma was, I knew that I would leave the session feeling better and more balanced in my reaction to any triggers that may pop up. Stuart helped me to understand that my brain would continue processing the trauma as the weeks went on and it was really interesting to see how my dreams changed from chaotic, frantic life or death situations to literally dancing around with family members who are no longer with us. I will be forever grateful to Stuart and EMDR for allowing me freedom from the effects of my trauma and especially for Stuart’s kind and supportive approach that allowed me to delve into parts of my mind I wouldn’t have been able to face alone. I would highly recommend EMDR with Stuart for anyone who’s suffered trauma and wants freedom from the effects. I now feel healed from the effects of childhood trauma and lots of ACE’s, wish I had done this sooner but eternally grateful Stuart, you have given me my life back.
